You might want to disable the Steam ingame overlay under settings which might fix the problem. Seems the only games which give me no problem with mods are Steam based games like SKYRIM and FALLOUT NEW VEGAS. Manuelle Installation ging schon mal gar nicht. If you want to get rid of quest journal entry popups then look in the customfiles folder, extract the 'empty.xml' and rename it to 'questadded.xml' then move it to OblivionMenusgeneric. Download the optional 7z archive and extract the fonts, menus, meshes and textures to OblivionData.

Do you not think it *might* be user error or a corrupted download of the OMOD (you *did* use the OMOD and not manual install, right?) rather than the mod being a POS? Regardless, I've already told you, try BT Mod, that's the other one that tends to come up if you look for a UI mod for Oblivion, but I've not personally used it as I tested DarNified first and decided to stick with it There's also DarkUI, but the non-DarN version is listed by the mod author as outdated and probably not stable, and superceded by the DarkUId DarN I think this is a standalone mod, so you wouldn't have to re-install DarNified, but I think I did try to install this at one point and had some sort of trouble with it, can't remember what, think it basically just wouldn't install. Most of the time scrolling down is no longer needed to see everything. All the windows were enlarged, while fonts got smaller and because of that more information can fit on the screen. It changes the interface to make it more suitable for high resolution monitors. It is the second most popular Oblivion mod of all time on the Nexus. Also a little known feature of Wrye Bash : If you drag and drop an OMOD file onto Wrye Bash Installers tab window, it can extract an OMOD to a project ( folder ).
